The very 1st thing I have sewn - EVER

I made a quilt for my mom.  It took me 3 years!  I bought the Blocks-of-the-Months from Joann Fabrics and literally learned how to sew on this project.  I had never turned on a sewing machine, threaded a needle, or sewn anything.  Needless to say, following the instructions was a painstaking ordeal because I had to research everything because I had no idea what they meant!

I learned quickly that I hated the process called Applique and, instead, decided to take the Rose up on her embroidery capabilities and embroidered instead!
